New Barcelona boss Quique Setien took time to see out Abel Ruiz and Alejandro Marques in training on Thursday as he ponders the way to replace the injured Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan has been ruled out for four months after undergoing knee surgery, meaning the team are in need of a replacement No.9.

Antoine Griezmann is one choice to fill certain Suarez, while the club could also look to usher in a player because the January transfer window is open.

However, Setien also appears to be brooding about turning to the club’s youngsters to fill the gap in attack.

Yet neither player has impressed this season ahead of goal for Barca B. Ruiz has three goals and two assists in 17 Barca B outings this season, while Marques is yet to seek out the rear of internet in 11 appearances.

Ruiz said in November he may need to go away Barcelona to urge first-team opportunities, and Mundo Deportivo are reporting the club have received two offers for him which he’s approved.
